I’m making the move from Typepad to WordPress. It feels like a REALLY big deal!
I’m keeping this basic… for now. At least until I figure out the ins and outs of this whole WordPress format and its customizability (is that even a word?) and all that goes along with it. So far, I’ve gotten as far as adding my avatar, picking a layout and uploading my own banner, which is a photo I took of one of my favorite mini orchids.
I make no promises but I can say I will really, really try to post on a regular basis. In the past this has meant once every 3 to 6 months, so I’m hoping to best myself on that. I’ll also do my best to reign myself in, but seriously… for me, focus is usually just out of reach. I’m hoping that this little adventure will help me work on that.
Photography has always been one of my biggest passions. Over the years, I’ve accumulated more than 20 cameras ranging from instant cameras to dslrs and everything in between. I’ve never taken a lesson, but should and actually really do want to. Lately, my iPhone has been serving as my primary camera. It’s amazing to me that the quality of some of the photos taken with my iPhone come out so good. It’s truly beyond convenient to have the ability to take a photo at any given time without having to lug my bulky yet beloved dslr around.
I can promise that there will be photos… many, many photos. I can also say, with extreme certainty, that the subject of these photos will be all over the place. Yeh… that’s where my issues with focusing come in. I take photos of whatever catches my eye; flowers, concerts, sporting events, dogs, architecture, travel destinations, crafty messes, babies, cooking/baking/food in general. You name it, you’ll probably find it somewhere here… eventually.
If you’ve made it this far, kudos to you for getting through my unfocused blathering!
And… thanks for giving me a chance.
